Seventh Generation has recently announced their newest approach to combating climate change: a self-imposed internal carbon tax. They will enforce an internal fee of $12 per ton of CO2 and use the generated revenue to increase operational efficiencies, purchase renewable fuels, purchase renewable electricity for our facilities, manufacturing partners, and distribution partners, and, as a last resort, purchase carbon offsets.
